LA AMBULANCIA

2026 / Colour / 35 mm / Doc-Fiction / 15 min

Directed by: Serge Garcia
  Written by Azalea Aguilar

IN DEVELOPMENT

Synopsis:
Artemisa overdoses, lives. In 1954, an ambulance hits her, she lives. Another chapter in the life of an unconventional single mother.  The follow up to El Neceser Rojo is not a story of healing, but of survival as residue. Of single motherhood as aftermath, not resolution. Set in Mexico, it asks what agency looks like within domestic and patriarchal confines, and whether it ever truly existed at all.

IN DEVELOPMENT

Synopsis:
In the nocturnal churn of Mexico City, a nightclub bouncer finishes his shift and enters the night as just another body in motion. He moves through an industrial rave, a dying cabaret called Vega, and Compañeros, a labyrinthine space where anonymity softens into fleeting recognition—places shaped by ritual, anonymity, and fleeting contact. A portrait of nightlife as emotional management for systemic failure. R2V is the next chapter in the Subterranean series.

A GENERAL DISAPPOINTMENT

NARRATIVE SHORT

Directed by: Serge Garcia
Cinematography: Simon Köcher
Length: 25:00 min
Format: 16mm, 35mm
Year: 2022

Synopsis:
A General Disappointment bends the quotidian with ordinary scenes that are overlaid with stories told through text that wander through a night at a sex club, domestic duties at home, and the existential aftermath after a failed attempt to go on a date. The experience invites us to ponder over the systemic failures inherent to capitalist societies, and how vain their promises of happiness and self-fulfillment are.
